This interactive map is designed to allow you to find and download 3D data for the City of Cambridge. The City has been divided into a grid system allowing for users to download 3D data for a specific area. You can search for a specific address or simply zoom to your area of interest. Click on the grid block and choose the file type(s) you would like to download.

3D Maps are already inbuilt in Excel 2016. But for Excel 2013, we need to download and install packages as the add-in. This can be downloaded from the Microsoft website. For Excel 2013, 3D Maps are named Power Maps. We can directly search for this on the Microsoft website, as shown below.
@dexyfex Ive never made any edits using this software but ive checked it out before and its awesome that you guys are still improving this many years later. Could anybody point me to a tutorial for how to place props like map editor/menyoo spooner. Im trying to go back and do some map projects i had planned but the primitive process of loading everything through the trainers is such a hassle and everybody whos downloaded the one map i released, absolutely hates having to load it manually. I just personally cant figure out the software
US Topo Series added to topoView We've added the US Topo series to topoView, giving users access to over 3 million downloadable files from 2009 to the present day. The US Topo series is a latest generation of topographic maps modeled on the USGS historical 7.5-minute series (created from 1947-1992). Like the historical topographic mapping collection, we've added a variety of file formats previously unavailable for the US Topo series, including GeoTIFF and KMZ.

The site aesthetic is clean and well-ordered, and you can download the textures and all maps without having to register an account. The filtering function is especially handy, allowing you to filter texture results based on color and resolution. One additional site that our users are using is the SketchUp Texture Club - a non-profit organization managed by Image Promotion Association. You can download 15 low and medium-resolution textures per day, but if you want to access up to 50 high-res textures per day, then you need to become a Club Member for a very small fee per year (currently just 14 USD).
Game Dev Academy shared a handy tip on how to download the 3D models used in Google Maps & Google Earth so that you can use them in your scenes. It's a tip identical for aerial views, as for close-up shots, you probably need to tweak the models a lot!

In this case, the procedure is a little more complex than the terrain itself and more tools need to be used. To get the model, we use the CADMAPPER web tool, which uses freely available maps from OpenStreetMap as a source. The tool allows you to download a 3D model up to 1 km area for free. Larger areas are paid. In most cases, 1 km is perfectly fine. By covering the entire print area (25 x 21 cm), we get the ideal scale for the model (approximately 1: 4000 to 1: 5000).
The downloaded file is not yet fully prepared for slicing. What we need to do is to create an object under the terrain. In addition, we can simply change the height of buildings in this tool, especially those that have a default value from CADMAPPER. We will use SketchUp Pro for editing, which is free to download in the trial version.
