The Power of Commitment: Recognizing Mireya

Mireya truly deserves a medal. She showed up every single day, stepping in without hesitation and somehow managing to bring positivity with her each morning. Working more than 50 days straight is no small feat, yet Mireya handled it with grace, resilience, and a smile that never wavered. Her steady presence ensured continuity of care and provided much-needed stability for the entire team during a challenging time.

At Alamance County, Mireya exemplified what it means to put SHP First, Patient First, and Team First. During a period of limited staffing, she worked every single day to ensure her team and patients never felt the impact. Her selflessness, critical thinking, creativity, and calm under pressure were evident in everything she did. Voluntarily working 51 full days in a row, including Thanksgiving and Christmas, she continued to walk through the door each day with an upbeat attitude and unwavering dedication. When asked if she needed a break, her response was always, “No, I’m good… I’m okay.” That mindset speaks volumes about her character, and to say we are blessed to have Mireya on our team is truly an understatement.
