Nurses Week Spotlight - Nurse Terrance at Shelby County, AL

Nurse Terrance started with SHP 6 months ago and couldn’t be happier. He has been in the medical field for about ten years. In those years, Terrance has worked in several areas like the ER, ICU, Med/Tele, Hospice, Geri-Psych, Long Term NH, House Supervisor, Day Surgery, and also been a travel nurse. He is a MAS certified nurse and also has certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS instructor and TNCC.

"I love corrections because is genuinely an interesting and fun job. Getting to know the inmates during intake, and being there to cheer them on as they get to be released is rewarding. "

Terrance is currently enrolled in his fifth quarter in Nurse Practitioner School. When he graduates, he hopes to be a NP in an ER or Corrections.

Thank you Terrance, for all your hard work at Shelby County.
